Hong Kong 2010
If you have ever dreamed of visiting Hong Kong to see where Canada’s soldiers fought in 1941 and where many are buried, here’s your chance.Based on very positive feedback at our recent convention and Memorial Wall unveiling in Ottawa, we’re moving ahead to plan a commemorative trip to Hong Kong, and possibly to Japan, towards the end of 2010.
We would like to build a list of people who are interested in making the trip and will keep you all informed as the planning goes forward.
Here is a little more information to help you:
Departure: Around December 1, 2010
Duration: About 12 days
Destinations: Hong Kong and possibly Japan (Yokohama War Cemetery)
Cost: Between $3,000 and $4,000 per person (this is very
approximate and subject to change!)
Includes: Airfare, accommodation and breakfasts, airport transfers at
destinations, bus transport to sites at destinations (including English-speaking
guides), some dinners.
Highlights: Sightseeing tour of Hong Kong; commemoration ceremony at Sai
Wan War Cemetery; visit to Stanley Military Cemetery; guided tour of
battlefields; visit to Stanley Village; shopping opportunities and much more!
