William Thomas Carcary was born in Carman, Manitoba, Canada on Dec 5th 1920 to Alexander and Jean (nee Leighton) Carcary. As far as I can determine William did all of his schooling in Carman and according to Stan Leighton had taken a job in Winnipeg in a small hardware store after high school. William joined the Winnipeg Grenadiers on Sept 14th 1939 and was with them on their Hong Kong campaign. He was killed in action on December 24th 1941. Albert A
Carcary. Albert had joined the RCAF
(Fighter Pilot) in 1941 and was killed
during a mission with The Middle East
Command of the RAF in Egypt on July 22 1942.
William's father Alex died on June 1 1960 , and his mother on June
