It's with great sadness that my sister and I have to tell you the passing of our father Rifelman Raymond Quirion from the company D of the  'C' FORCE - 1ST BATTALION - THE ROYAL RIFLES OF CANADA. on september 23, 2009 at the age of 90.

 

Dad was very proud to serve his country.  A few years after his return from the japanese camps, he became a devoted husband and a loving father to his children. We miss him so much.....

 

Dad was a art painter down in his small town of " Percé " where he was very much loved and admired. In 2008, dad was very proud to receive the "Hommage Artiste 2008”, an honour decerned to him by others painter's from the Gaspé coast, for all his lifework with his Art.  

 

2009 had been a tough year for him with 2 long hospitalisations in Montreal but, as summer was arriving, he took all his courage and determination to recover so he could come with us to see his beautiful hometown, family and friends. He finally made it and stay in Percé from August 15th till September 12th 2009. He died shortly after from pneumonia. We were blessed to have him as our father.

 

We love you dad.
