away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 11, 2008 at the
age of 87, Mr. Robert Olscamp. Born in Point-à-la Croix, Quebec on
August 8, 1920, he was the son of the late Martial Olscamp and Emélie de
Lagourgendière.
Mr. Olscamp was a Psychiatric attendant for 27 years. He was a veteran
of WWII, 1941 to 1945 and he served with the Royal Rifle of Canada in
Hong Kong. He was an active member of the Association of Hong Kong
Veterans. He loved carpentry, woodworking, gardening, and hosting
friends at his cottage.
He leaves to mourn his daughters, Marie of Outremont, Quebec, Carole (Jeannot
Bouchard) of Beloeil, Quebec; his sons, Michael (Karen Viennean) of
Sackville, NB and Jacques (Janice Gallant) of Moncton, NB. Also survived
by 10 grandchildren, Alexandre, Emélie, Nicolas, Samuel, Sébastien,
Andrew, William, Jamie, Christopher and David. Besides his parents he
was predeceased by his spouse, Rosa Arbour; brother, Edouard (Eddy);
sister, Agnes (Tatsy) and son, Daniel.
The funeral services were held from Maher's Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne
St. Campbellton on Saturday February 16th at 11am, with Father Romeo
Morrison officiating. Interment in Our Lady of Snows Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home,
Campbellton.
