Richard T. (Dick) Johnson

JOHNSON, Richard T. (Dick) January 13, 1920 January 26, 2012 With love and sadness we announce the death of our Dad. He died as he lived, quietly and with dignity. He recently celebrated his 92nd birthday with family and close friends. Dad was predeceased by his beloved wife Phyl on November 26, 2003 whom he quietly and sadly missed every day. Dad will live on in the hearts of his children, son and daughter-in-law, Rick & Phyllis (Johnson) and daughter and son-in-law, Cory and Tim (Turner) and their families. He will also be lovingly remembered by dear family friends, Don & Carol (Kilshaw) and their family. He was also predeceased by his parents, sister and two brothers and is survived by brothers Al (Judy) and Harry (Mary). Dad was a good husband and father and a true gentleman who will be truly missed. We are proud that our Dad served his country in WW2 and was one of the few remaining Hong Kong veterans. Mom and Dad had a very happy marriage and we are extremely grateful for the legacy of joy, laughter and love they left us. Although they are terribly missed we are consoled by the belief that they are together again. The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff of the 3rd floor at the Gardens at Qualicum Beach. They lovingly cared for our Dad, allowing him to live with dignity and as independently as possible. We are also grateful for the support they provided us, especially during the last few days. Dad, you fought the good fight, always maintaining your optimism and sense of humour. No service by request however we would like to invite you to share in a toast to our Mom & Dad on Sunday February 5, 2012 from 4 7 pm, in Victoria. Please e-mail timandcoryturner@shaw.ca for the location. Home waltz Mom & Dad we love you. 647656
