William Allister

ALLISTER, William passed away peacefully at home November 2nd 2008, in Tsawwassen, BC, surrounded by his loving family. He faced his last days with the same courage and optimism that sustained him as a WWII POW in Hong Kong, and throughout his entire life. A wonderful husband, father and grandfather, he lived a life full of joy and humour. He opened our eyes to the infinite pleasures of being alive through his example, his many published books, and the prolific works of art he has blessed so many with around the world. An intense seeker of truth, he never compromised his integrity in his search for peace and forgiveness. He will be missed by many. He is survived by his wife Mona, daughters Dorrie and Ada, and granddaughter Dyana.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Will's memory to Delta Hospice Building Fund, PO Box 19036, Delta BC, V4L 2P8. The Unitarian Church of Vancouver will be hosting a tribute to Will on November 22nd from 1pm-4:30pm located at 949 West 49th Avenue, Vancouver BC. 510976
