New Topics and Replies: Use of "Save", and finding drafts

Postby Jim Trick » Wed Feb 24, 2010 11:31 pm

The concerns about using the HKVCA Forum listed below plus a separate email from Barry indicate that things are not proceeding as smoothly as I'd hoped. The root of these issues might lie with how the "Save", "Preview" and "Submit" buttons work when you are drafting a reply or posting a new topic. Using "Save" does indeed save the text you've entered, and you can find it again by visiting your profile, which you can get to by visiting the User Control Panel, the link to which is visible near the upper left of the window. You can also find it again via the "Load" button when creating a new topic.

So, for those who have used "Save", your efforts have been "Saved".

Unless you are composing a very long reply, using Save is not required. Type your comment into the text box, then choose "Preview" or "Submit".

Please continue to let me know when you run into a problem. The Forum software that we are using is very mature, but things sometimes can go wrong. Feel free to phone me at 250-474-9304.
